Mt. Frost

Mt. Frost is a giant mountain jutting out of the ocean off the coast of PMU. There is a town on the lower level and a cave runs through a giant cliff that arches over the entire mountain. I made a map of it, and it consists of 58 20x15 tile maps, altogether taking me 2 weeks to complete. I’ve organized it by a grid format, but to make things easier for you to look at, I’ve put every map into one image. Unfortunately, an image uploading site that can upload 6400x2880 pixel images without resizing them doesn’t exist. So, what you can do is look at this image to see where everything goes, and then look at each individual map below. Also, I’ve kept from taking animated screenshots simply because when you have this many maps, it’s best to reduce the file size as much as possible. The files I have are animated.

Here is the compilation of every map. It does not include the cave or the interior of houses. Note that a change in color of the cliffs is intentional. It only happens between maps to add depth and reduce confusion.

Holy Magik of Karp this is amazing O_O

…one thing I’d suggest is if you remove the froslass before you find yourself out in Earth’s outer atmospheres; lacking any Gravity privileges what-so-ever

For whatever the reason, I like C5 - Of course it looks rather rough with this map editor, but I like how the waterfalls appear to be falling from inside the cliff~

No other advice or now…I’ll leave it until later when my brain’s working xD

They look alright, however a lot of tiles do not fit or match.

A bit of quantity over quality, as I’ve said before. Maps need a bit of work, a few more trees and fringes here and there, otherwise this would make for a nice area.

Kirk, just so I know what to do better, what exactly doesn’t fit? Other than the water on the very top (there was absolutely no alternative, trust me xP ) and one little error I can already see in the skyline, I thought everything fit together more or less smoothly.

Overall, I can see where you’re getting at Eric. I’m going to try something to improve this that I definitely should have done earlier. I’m going to add crystals to the arch, because it makes little sense that there aren’t any, and I’m going to maybe add clouds to the middle row of the mountain, for continuity. :3

Thanks for the crit, guys. <3

Er… I don’t get how it’s floating in the sky and how waterfalls appear out of no were.

._____.

Anyways, it’s still pretty good.

It’s kind of blotchy and there are things popping out of randomness.

Falzar, the waterfall doesn’t come out of nowhere and only one tiny little bit of a map is floating. The area with the light. Nothing else. I explained how the mountain arches over in my first post. .-.

Also Foxip, you mean like the cliff face looks too blobbish? Like, I should make it look more natural? o3o

It looked like it was floating.

And still. It looks like the Waterfalls come out of the middle of the piece of kinda like floating land.

I’ll give you a 3/10. Needs more detail and a lot of the tiles don’t match. All the tiles are plain. (:-/)

i like your idea and i wouldnt mind playing this
but what i noticed was that in the dungeon part some of the floor goes from ice theme to black nothingness and back to ice theme.
it stands out in 1f and 2f.

nice area though.

Err… why are you commenting on your own map? In game name: Falzar/Soren?

Anyways the name should be changed to Mt. Float(try to change the water to a different one like in tileset 9). xD

LOL. He ain’t Soren in game, I am. .-…

He uses Soren for everything but PMU! DUN DUN DUNNNNN. NOT GOOD.

Kay got it?
Or else… JK.
:P

des, as I said, besides maybe a 3x3 tile area, none of the maps are floating in the air.

Besides, now that I actually look at it, I want to rip it out of everyone’s minds and buy you all Cleanex.
