Last attempt

Over the past weeks ive been trying to come up with ideas to make the ghost types used a lot more particularly in caves

I am trying to do this because i feel that they are hardly used. When was the last time you saw someone enter a cave with only a ghost poke? You may see a lot of ghosts outside of caves but when it comes to entering caves its really hard to use them.

Why is it hard to use ghost poke? Its hard because when you move in walls you rappidly lose belly.

Like me, a lot of other people find it hard to use ghost poke in caves especially when we have the minor problem which can only be solved by typing /refresh (its the problem where you see your sprite in one place but its not there its actually somewhere else but you see the sprite where you want it). Its also hard to maneuver around tight corners without slipping into a wall. There is also an issue where sometimes you spawn in a wall then you waste belly getting out. Its quite a shame as ghost poke have a lo of cool and useful moves also its not everyday you see someone get a new ghost poke and use it continuously.

So my final suggestion to help Promote the use of ghost poke in caves is create a feature which enables you to turn the ability to move through walls on and off. This feature should only be able to be turned on/off outside of caves. Giving us a choice to do this enables us to play with the ghosts in more caves.

Why only turn it off outside of caves? It will make the ghosts more challenging. If there is an item which can often be found in walls e.g. Kings rock it will be too easy to just turn the feature on and walk through the wall to get it. So making the choice outside of a cave gives us more of a choice and still maintaing a challenge.

Please reply any issues i will try to alter he suggestion in order to make it useful for ghost poke.

I like this suggeston. It seems fair that you’d have to turn it on/off outside of dungeon, so you don’t enter, say, Sauna Cavern with the walk through walls turned off, and find a heart scale and say, “Oh, wow! A heart scale! Better turn the Walk-through-walls ON!!!”

Be careful in dungeons then, you don’t need to run all the time. Just carefully walk around.

I do see Ghosts rarely used, and they are hard to use too. I just think of them as not my main attacker and I just use my Gastly just to go through walls. Perhaps you can type /refresh in the chat box and leave it there until you need to use it. I’m sure this problem would be fixed eventually.

I always thought PMU was trying to be closer to the real PMD game. ._.’
Being able to turn the ability to walk through walls on and off is like making Gastly turn into a solid object… o.o’

I think some people would appreciate the better usage of more Ghost type Pokemon, but it’s their choice if they want to use them or not. Maybe people don’t want to use them. Perhaps because of the drawbacks you have mentioned in detail. I guess we could add some of your points on the staff to-do list. (Fixing the “not being able to see your sprite” thing.) But I’m not completely in the same boat as the Ability to walk through walls on and off thing.

Ghost Types are meant to be hard to use, they were pretty broken in PMD, you must remember them being almost invincible if they attacked you from the walls in a hallway.
You just need to learn how to deal with the cons that they have. You can use a Stamina Band to Reduce the Belly taken and you can always carry Big Apples which can fully restore the belly from 0.

You know…I have seen quite a few Gengars and Haunters. I don’t use ghosts often myself because I don’t particularly like them.

i know ghosts are supposed to be hard. but the problem making it hard is the constant use of using /refresh or spawing in walls which kinda makes it unfair.

The problem/glitch which doesn’t show where you really are sometimes doesn’t only effect ghost types it effects everyone (I have gotten it a lot and I use a Water Type.) , so you can’t really use that as a reason. As for spawning in walls, you can use a non-ghost team mate + using F to warp out of it.

I’m not coplaining but the reason you may barely ever see ghost pokemon in PMU is simply because there aren’t many viable ghost types to use at the minute~ the only ghost pokemon i’ve seen/heard of in PMU are Misdreavus,Drifloon,Gastly, and their respective evolutions i’m not complaining and trying to rush the staff so please don’t give me the
its still in beta or
be patient
because i’m not trying to get them to hurry up at all~ and also you may see more ghost types around after Halloween HC you never know :)

lol 2 comments. Dont use ghost pokemon and STOP RUSHING AND COUNT THE TILES YOU SEE BEFORE YOU TURN!(also just use a non-ghost pokemon then switch when you see a pokemon and keep you fingers steady on the arrow keys so you dont accidently run into the wall.)
Edit: Iv never heard of a pmd game that you had the choice to turn of walking on/off walls.PMU is supposed to be a pmd mmorpg.

If you were wondering ghost types lose belly 5times as fast when in a wall.
