Poke-Confessions

Yay, another random topic to discuss. xD

Anyhoo, I saw something like this on another forum and the thread stretched out long with some interesting replies, so I thought I’d see just how obsessed with Pokemon everyone on PMU is. 8-) So, most of us here obviously like Pokemon and either are obsessed with it, or have been. So, what are some kinda “quirky” confessions you have about your Pokemon obsession…or even any video game obsessions you might have in general?

Hrrm…lemme see. I guess I can confess that…back in middle school and early high school, Pokemon was the only thing I could think about 24/7. I’d absolutely HAVE to watch the 3:00 showings of new Pokemon episodes on weekdays on Kids WB and if I didn’t, I’d have to get a tape and record the episode so I wouldn’t miss it. Heck, I recorded episodes even when I WAS able to watch, just so that I could watch them again. :P I also had daydreams at school about catching legendary pokemon, like the lugia from XD and transferring it to Sapphire/Emerald, etc. I had dream dreams at night about Pokemon games that didn’t come out yet, like when I was expecting Diamond and Pearl’s release and the first PMD.

Nowadays…I’m not quite as obsessed, but my computer is still filled with growlithe pics everywhere, I still write Pokemon fanfiction, I still play Pokemon (Mario, Kirby and other) medleys on my guitar for fun. I still randomly talk about my “recent shiny capture” and the latest information on Serebii and sing Pokemon theme songs in public (sometimes off-key or in terribly attempted Japanese) to witness peoples’s priceless reactions. :3

i hav me a game confession. when we got pokemon ruby…it wasn’t really mine. it was my brothers. and the poor guy didn’t get to play any of it be cause i was always playing it. he’d get soooo mad at me, but he’s forgotten about that now. all of his anger related to that came out when i beat the elite four without him.
plus i still play pokemon stadium for the N64 (worlds greatest console…i’m old) and i’d never regret doing so.
i may not wacth pokemon anymore, but i still think of what it would be like if they didn’t start messing with it. and i always hav my stupid shipper thoughts and wonder if Ash is gonna marry Misty or one of those idiots dawn or may. (i vote mysty).
and when i got PMDEOS just thursday, when i got home i shut my door and started jumping around like a retard. i even took it out in the middle of the night and played it under the covers. but man was it worth it.
and those are all my pokemon confessions…i think…

Ash probably won’t get married(2 tell u teh truth, teh audience would probably b disappointed if he did as it said on teh Pokemon USA website on 1 of teh mailbags that if Ash and Dawn liekd each other moar than friends teh audience would probably b disappointed, and of course, I figured it’d b teh same with Misty and May-HOLY CRAP IT’S MISTY MAY PROFESSIONAL VOLLEYBALL PLAYER!).

em… i’m on mah CPU playen this all the time!? and i still want pokemon to be real… and that i waz a eevee… and… oh you get teh point. i think.

When it came to Pokemon, back when I was liek 8, I was addicted. I saw every episode, had Pokemon Stadium (still have them both), Collected the cards, AND saw every pokemon movie that came out at the time. Then I gradually lost interest, but I was still playing a few of the games. I didn’t even play those that much anymore.

The pokemon fan in me returned when PMD came out… cus I began to play that thing every day, then came Diamond and Pearl, and now look where I am. I’m more into the games than anything else poke related nowadays.

(And oddly, 4 some reason, I can’t keep mai eyes away from teh anime no matter how bad it is. And PMD: EOS, Ranger 2, and, incidentally, despite meh, never having even played it, Pokemon XD. O_o)

pokemon is like my entire life. i have pokemon posters everywhere pokemon maccaroni and cheese boxes pokemon ds skin like 20 pokemon games 2 pokemon things i ripped of a pinata like 15 pokemon movies episodes etc. 5 different pokemon shirts planing to spend my entire allowance at a pokemon store and also want to move to japan along with taking japanese lessons all because of you know what. i cant live without pokemon!theres even something that if i confessed no one would talk to me so i wont.

ugh talk about awkward

hmmmmmmm all i think about is pokemon im freakin 13 i even dream im a pokemon some knights (awsome dreams)
ive been playin pokemon since i was 3 first pokemon game i eva played was crystal and it was awsome

I’m a junior in college and I still play Pokemon. 'Nuff said.

But, to go further into detail anyway, I’m a walking encyclopedia of Pokemon information. Not as bad as some people who can name height and weight for each species of Pokemon by 'dex number, but I still know basically every Pokemon’s name, type, and key moves. I also know which Natures boost which stats, everything about EVs, IVs, and various other gameplay mechanics, and all sorts of other things. I have about half of the games ever released with Pokemon in their name, including multiple from each generation of the main games. So I’m not just a Pokemon player, I’m more of a devoted fan, and I’m not ashamed.

I love Pokemon. Have since I was 9. I play pretty much all the games, I watch the anime, and I collect whatever manga/figurines I can find, or that I like. I’ve had dreams about Pokemon before, and I write fanfiction about Pokemon. And I know how to play and love the Pokemon Trading Card Game. The real confession here, is probably going ot seem pretty stupid though. haha. When I got my first Pokemon game, I had no idea what Pokemon was at all. I had just turned 9, and my first Pokemon game was Pokemon Red Version. When I first started it out, I had no idea what I was doing, where I was going, or what I was supposed to do. Since the game was used, I turned it on, and the character had a Charmander and was in the Viridian Forest.
I walked around lost in there just KO’ing Pokemon for about an hour, thinking that must’ve been the entire point of the game. And heck, I didn’t even know what these things were I was fighting with. I figured they were weird animals or monsters. Haha. Wow. I guess I was right in thinking they were monsters. Even though I didn’t realize it back then.
One more thing that I’m going to consider somewhat of a ‘confession’ here. The way I learned how to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game. I didn’t learn by just seeing a deck of the cards and buying them or reading the rulebooks and whatnot. I learned by playing the GBC version of the Pokemon TCG. Haha. I learned from the video game. Then when I got some real decks and started making my own, it was pretty easy.

Y-You want me to confess?! D:
Ok, OK, I’ll tell about my idiotic life as a young Poke Fanatic…

It all started…at a camp. A few days before my friend was telling me about pokemon, but I didn’t get interested then. But at camp…these kids taught me the magical way of pokemon.
And after that I was totally obsessed.

Keep in mind that I was maybe six at the time these…events…happened.

Guilty Confession #1: I would go into my backyard playing pokemon cries from my Sapphire version to see if there were any wild Zigzagoon out there.
Guilty Confession #2: I thought a white plastic bag was a mareep. I was outside during school recess, and I saw the bag blow across the field and I was fully convinced it was a mareep.
Guilty Confession #3: I called my cat Meowth. All the time. And I’d scare my poor kitty by saying “OMG MEOWTH - THAT’S RIGHT”. I’m not sure if she forgives me yet :<
Guilty Confession #4: I’d sing songs from Sapphire at school. Yup, during snack time, I had an all-out “Whistle/hum/mumble random pokemon song fest”. I still have a clear memory of me telling this girl I had the “very scary” Petalburg Woods song stuck in my head and her saying “Please don’t sing it…” I was…erm…very popular with other kids at school… >.<
Guilty Confession #5: I had an obsession with my Marshtomp in Sapphire…Like…a really creepy obsession. It was as if it were my own child…And I’d tell the other kids - Them other kids; “Liek, my Marshtomp is waaaay better than yours” Like some old lady arguing with another over whose grandchildren were cuter.

Heck, I have more. But I’m only willing to tell the ones that happened a long time ago.
My guilty obsession with pokemon right now will remain secreeeeettttt :<

don’t even get meh started on obsessed. i’m not going to list the things i’ve done, suffice to say that i’m too embarassed. however, one thing that has gotten me in trouble is playing DS or PMU in the middle of the night. ^^;

I Have Like every single pokemon game… exept like 3 (including the new ones)

I dyed my hair yellow, wore a green scarf, got a man’s purse, a white and orange striped sweater, and dressed up like that to school. And not even dressing up. I wore it as if it was simply my new look. Of course, my parents made me stop after about 5 days.

Named pet turtle Squirtle.

Truthfully my favorite pokemon isn’t Grovyle. It isn’t even a grass type. It’sHoundoom,Absol,Zangoose, and Weavile.Don’t ask we why I just like them.I have a game addiction to PMD games and Platuimn and the second ranger. Also I collect anything pokemon.Board games, figure, cards so on.I don’t really collect anymore but I still get mini figures from Nintendo world.I read the Mangas from the library and have every pokemon game guide.I dream about pokemon(Kinda creepy)I wish pokemon we real, and I know alot about pokemon.I own almost every game and draw pokemon pictures,I m not ashamed though

i loved pokemon ever since i was 5 wen my brother showed me pokemon blue version when gold and silver came out i almost had a heart attack because there were new pokemon  ive liked pokemon ever since.i acctually have some poekmon posters in my room i even have some action figures from wen i was 7 that i wont let my mom get rid of.
