Hey anyone out there! I’ve come here to ask for a bit of help on a comic my friend and I are making. Well, after a lot of talking, we found out that we can’t do it by ourselves if we want it to succeed. So we’ve spread out to ask anyone who would like to help us in our comic.

So you might be wondering. What is the comic about? Well, it’s about gryphons. (Sorry folks, not Pokemon) We’re still actually working on what the storyline will be, we only have tidbits here and there. The main focus will be on two brother gryphons, but that’s basically as far as we’ve gotten.

If you do want to help, here’s a few things that we have out that we need help on:

[ul]Storyline: While we have the basis down, we still need help with a major part of it. We’ll tell you more in detail if you want to help in this category.

Character design: We had very few characters, for the comic, so before we start we’re going to add a lot more.

Mapping/landmarks: We need special landmarks and where these creatures live at. This also includes how they survive there. Nothing needs to be drawn, but a detailed description is necessary.

Holidays: Since these are cultures/species, they might celebrate different things! Celebrating the full moon, or summer, or maybe even the year’s passing! Whatever it may be, everyone celebrates it differently.

Mythological creatures: This is a simple one, we’re including quite a few mythological creatures, and we’d like to know maybe how to include more. We’re not using all of them, so don’t be distraught if yours is turned down![/ul]

You don’t have to be a good artist, or even one at all, to help out. We’re looking for almost anything at this point!

Umm I would really like to help with the designs… I was just wondering whether the reptile gryphons are sort of hybrids like snake/something or a featherless gryphon with teeth instead of a beak… Oh and I drew a rat/cuckoo gryphon but I don’t know if it fits anything on the list… would it perhaps be a forest creature or are forest creatures individual species ?

The designs for the reptile gryphons have been changed now and then, and the design may not be finalized. In the beginning I drew them as reptiles with beaks and patches of feathers, but we’ve come to a conclusion that they’ll have wings now(they won’t fly, just glide). I say for how it would work, they’d have the head structure of the reptile with a beak, patches of feathers anywhere you want, and the feet would be the same animal here/bird feet. But thinking to a snake who doesn’t have feet, I’d say that all four feet would be bird feet, and the body would be more of a bird’s, so they’d be sitting upright(almost like a dinosaur creature).

Besides the two actual gryphon species, the three we have are the only other ones. It was suggested that we could add other other species of gryphons, but it was quickly rejected. If you do put them into the forest creatures category, and not have them as a gryphon species, but as a hybrid, I’m sure that would pass.(I’d have to talk to my friend about it though.)

Sorry for the double post, but I really need each edit to be seen.

The designs for the reptile gryphons is still up in the air, make them however you see fit.

I talked to my friend and the rat/cuckoo gryphon was accepted as a forest animal. If you have the design, may I see it?

Also to everyone else who may see this, the topics posted are not the only things we need help with. It’s generally everything as we’re needing help on. I know people are busy, and we’re busy as well, which is why we’re doing this. Like I said, ask suggestions about anything story/creatures/ideas/catagory list. Anything.
I’d actually love more suggestions about what you want to see from this comic. Though I can’t please everyone, I can at least improve.
