PMU court

Hello.

More and more players are getting muted for swearing or bad behavior, but some of those players have been muted so many times that any report would get them muted again, how to stop the innocent from getting muted?

What if there was a court in PMU? A staff which would be avaible would be the judge, the one who sweared could defense himself and the jury would be players that have Master rank. Each member of the jury would say if he is guilty or not, and after gathering votes the judge would or wouldnt mute him. ( If suspected would be in guild, the leader of the guild and members who have master rank cannot attend in that trial).

And if there is a misunderstanding like he stole my apple and such bizzar things, they could hire PMU lawyers (and rank who is familiar with the rules) and the jury would decide, and the staff aka. judge would make the action (taking his apple and giving it back).

Thanks for reading.

Well, they don’t mute innocent players so the first part would be pointless. Not to mention it’s not necessary that all of the guilty person’s friends would be in the same guild as they are.
The staff team isn’t responsible for item theft. It would be your fault if you dropped an apple in a public area.
So yeah, that wouldn’t work.

ArtM@x sometimes they do, think about the mungl1, he didnt do anything wrong once he was unmuted and someone reported him for something he didnt really do (thats atleast what he told me) and got muted.

About the theft, yeah you are right, its not staffs responisibility, but that was just bad example, more like if there is a misunderstanding, like dont train that pokemon I am training it!!! and more bizzar things (P.S. for that you dont get muted just a warning or something)

Thanks for reading.

There is literally no point, no offence. Muting is a serious thing, as a lot of people know. PMU Court? What’s the point. When your Muted, it doesn’t mean you cannot play… just can’t talk for some amount of time. At least when your muted, you can still play… muted isn’t all that bad. You just need to watch your mouth.

True, eh not going to repeat everything I said, just it would be in my point of view more fair to players like PCO,mungl1 and etc.

I really don’t see the point in this. For one, the staff won’t mute someone unless there is proper evidence. Why would it be players that are only Master Rank? Just because they’re a high rank doesn’t make them any different from other players; they can still be untrustworthy. Anyway, it would be unfair if players got a vote in whether another player gets muted, as they could be bias, be bribed or simply just have a grudge against the accused player. Really, there would be no point to this, as a player won’t be muted if you don’t have a screenie or something of them swearing, and if you do, then it’s as straightforward as that.

When I first read this, I thought you were suggesting a food court for some reason… XD

But, like everyone else has stated, this isn’t needed. If a staff member decides to mute you, there should be no argument in the first place since, as Drakos said, there would be evidence against you. And anyways, iSharky makes the point that you can still play even when muted. Also, if you didn’t want the item being stolen in the first place, you shouldn’t have placed it on the floor in the open.

And Drakos makes another great point; Why would it be players that are only Master Rank? I mean, ranks don’t determine the trustworthiness of players. With some glitch abuse, players could do a mission infinite amount of times (though there isn’t a glitch like this in PMU, it’s still possible) and get a high rank in a short amount of time. And anyways, the staff are like their own court system. They bring up the evidence amongst each other and decide if the players are guilty or not. So basically, there’s already a PMU Court.

I am wanting a PMU Food Court though. :3

I don’t see a need for a PMU Court. There should be a decent curtain of privacy regarding various cases. We don’t want to announce and shun any offenders. Making cases more public would be a bit disturbing.

Like others have mentioned: Why Master Rank? It is semi-easily obtainable, and it does not concern the honesty of players. It’s just a title that folks earn. Nothing big.

Besides, why have a PMU Court when the Staff can already obtain evidence regarding a case via Report User Forums / PMs and discuss a case between other Staff members via Skype?

If you have a complaint regarding a punishment, PM a Staff Member and provide evidence. Simple solution, court not needed.

As much as the idea is creative… In terms of trialed privacy, this is not how we like to handle appeals for mutes and bans… We did have a court back in PMU6, but it was used more for interviews with staff applicants.

At this current time, if a mute or ban has been issued, and said person feels that that their mute/ban was given to them for reasons that had nothing to do with them (Or anything of the sort), then contacting a staff member in-game, PMing us on the forums, or contacting us via Skype are the best option… This is about where we want appealing to be, court cases are too dramatic, and cause more problems than they solve.

That is about all I can say on this suggestion… Sorry, but I can’t really support this :/
