PvP Dungeon

Basically, this idea is to have a sort of dungeon, where there are 2 teams facing off against each other.

How it would work

[ul][li]Each team would have up to 4 members, who would make a party together first. They would all be able to bring in up to 2 Pokemon.[/li]
[li]Upon entering the dungeon, everyone"s levels are set to 50.[/li]
[li]Items cannot be taken into the dungeon, however supplies like Ethers and Orans, and Random Traps, etc can be found within the dungeon.[/li]
[li]Before the game starts, the party leaders are given a key each. In the middle of the dungeon are 2 doors which the party leaders would open with their keys. This is so that the teams are given time to get in to position and set traps (I.e. Self destruct Trap).[/li]
[li]No exp would be given for defeating opponents.[/li]
[li]If possible, abilities like Arena Trap and Speed Boost would be disabled within the dungeon.[/li]
[li]ETC[/ul][/li][hr][/hr]
So, it"s not so much a dungeon as a more elaborate Arena. However, tactics and teamwork are more important. But aspects of a dungeon such as items and the ability to walk over water with a water type.
That"s all I got for now.

Over the past year and a half, I have been writing different potential methods of Player Vs. Player for Pokemon Mystery Universe, other than the already VERY stale Arena system… I have had two ideas on my mind for some time that I might get back to later this year, but I would rather develop the idea more and bring it to the other staff members before I even start actually “Working” on any of said ideas…

This suggestion is actually quite similar to an idea I had written in December, although the concept was a little different… I might bring up the notes I have on that idea and possibly consider writing the aspects up again, but for now I had dropped that specific idea.

I appreciate the creative suggestion for some new form of Player Vs. Player that could breath some life in that sort of aspect of the game (At least a suggestion that ISN’T just bringing back the old Outlaw system… Even the simplistic task of discussing the Outlaw system is overbearing on my end… We have thought of potential alternatives to it, but for now people just need to accept that at this time, we are not looking to revamp the outlaw system, but might in the future)

Regardless… Not a bad suggestion, Drakos~ My previous idea on it could still very much be a possible addition to the Player Vs. Player aspect of PMU (The one that was quite similar to this suggestion), but for now I just don’t know. I would rather not get into that can of worms at this time… The discussion on Player Vs. Player activities is still a lively one on our ends, so lets hope for something new soon~

One question. How would two definet teams be able to face off if others wanted to go in? Would you have to start… a game (/creategame or something) so you would face off against that specific team?
Otherwise this is a very good idea.

I think that you could see any player who’s in your immediate area upon entering the dungeon. But I do see one problem.
Coding. We don’t know how long or hard it is to code this in, not to mention if it’s even possible.

I don’t think it would be difficult. After all, it’s just a dungeon floor basically, just set so it isn’t a Safe Zone. They can set the level, because they do with HT, HC, PBA, etc. I don’t really see how coding it would be a problem, but eh.
