Malware and missing file problem?

Hey, i’m hoping this is the right place to post this. I’m pretty sure it is, sorry I always do that with my first topic threads. Anyways, I played PMU a long time ago but uninstalled it because my anti-virus detected Malware. A few months later, I decided it possibly was a false report because it works fine for my friend and others. I wasn’t able to reinstall until now because of an overheating issue with my laptop. I recently got that fixed and am now able to play games on it. However, it has detected Malware again but I have neutralized it. Though I can’t load the game, it claims the file isn’t there but I clearly installed it.

My laptop is an HP and my anti-virus is Kaspersky. Any ideas on why it’s detecting Malware and why I can’t play it?

I think you should switch over to AVG, it’s what the laptop that I’m currently using is running as anti-virus. Just saiyan.

Kapersky doesn’t really like PMU. I’ve played PMU 7 for a while, no virus. You can ask all the other players here too. No viruses or malware. There have been various reports about “malware warnings”, and most of the reporters seemed to have used Kapersky. ;o

Try to make PMU an exception, but otherwise, I have no idea how to do it. I don’t even bother with my PC, and I don’t even check my Mac’s antivirus. xD

Okay, so it is lying about the reports? Hmm, wonder why it does that.
Well, I’m not sure why it won’t open the file, though. Should I try reinstalling?

Edit:
I reinstalled it and this still shows up whenever I try and play - http://www.iaza.com/work/130601C/iaza18392943328700.jpg

Have you installed the latest version of DirectX or something? It’s possible your computer doesn’t meet the system requirements, or you haven’t installed some of the other things you need to.

Yes but then I realized that I didn’t allow it to download the extra files or something but then it said it wasn’t compatible with Windows 7?

I don’t know then. I have Windows 8 and PMU works completely fine.

So I was able to get by Microsoft Framwork repair but it still won’t let me play.
It gives me this -
‘WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].’

I don’t understand why such a simple little game would require me to change my registry value? That is a very dangerous thing to do, especially for someone who isn’t as techy like myself.

Edit: An admin sent me the file I was missing but it still wants me to change my registry.

Then maybe you should change the registry? Try to find a techy person to show you how to do that without screwing up.

Fixed.
