So I was thinking. How come only staff can have legendaries? It’s not fair at all… And there’s not too much motivation to train or get past Master rank. Why not create a place in Winden that only those with Guildmaster rank can enter? It’ll be like destiny cavern, kind of, except each “chamber” has a warp puzzle that has different paths that lead to different legends. Like, the “flying” chamber can lead to legends like yvetal, rayquaza, the legendary birds, ho-oh, lugia… you get the idea.

And I was also thinking why do you agree to reserve certain pokemon for each other’s dungeons, but then hardly do anything when said pokemon aren’t added because the dungeon hasn’t be made yet? Like this, some pokemon won’t be available, sans for events that aren’t even around anymore. I propose that every month, a progress check is done on the dungeon and if things are going slow, help make that dungeon come out faster by assisting in making it.

Some of the shops are kind of… blegh now. And there are coveted items that haven’t been released in a long time. Legendary masks/hats are some. I feel like they shouldn’t be in one shop, but scattered across different shops in PMU. Not Poke shops, but other shops. Maybe even make a Heart Scale shop if the rarity of them’s decreased a bit so that a shop’s feasible.~ Don’t make them stupidly common, but maybe double their spawn chances so that there can be a heart scale shop, but the cost for good items is still a “low” number. Like, still have the scales rare, but the shop will be nothing but good items for 1-10 heart scales. ^^

Can you please make more dungeons to train in for 30-50s? Skylift and SS are the only decent places to train those level ranges. It’s hardly fair, compared to all the late game dungeons you can train 60+ in. Can we have more dungeons in Winden, Exbel that are full of supplies and easier to train in? And can you actually revamp Skylift instead of being lazy and changing the music? Like, there are more birds you can add there now, and to every floor, and you could even change the color scheme of it and maybe make it longer. Give it the same treatment you gave to SS, please.

legends suck

Being serious, I strongly oppose the idea of players having legendaries. PMU is not meant to simulate a PMD game and thus isn’t going to have every PMD game element. Staff get legends because they’re staff. They make the game. I think the least we can do is let them look like Entei or whatever if they want. I’ve never heard of a staff actually training a legendary, anyway. They just do it for the cosmetic. I’m mostly opposed to the idea of legends because of their lore. The vast majority of them are one only, so having multiple people have them would be… weird. As for the ones that do have multiples, I just don’t see a need. We have hats, and there’d be no reason to have them outside of appearance, because the ones with multiples are all weak. And then if we have multiples out, people will be whining for non-multiples, which would just be stupid once more than one person has them. Just keep them all out. Don’t gateway to anything. Also, that idea for a dungeon sounds bad. GM is a very easy rank to obtain with SF in play and it sounds like the legends would have too high of a spawn. If and only a VERY big if legends were to be recruitable, they would need a very low spawn and a very negative recruit rate in a very hard dungeon, harder than we have now. Like, you’d need GM rank + Golden Mask + lv 100 + anything else you can stack to just have a chance at it. Legends are special. That rarity shouldn’t be ruined.

As for the un-added Pokemon, completely agree. Gible was supposed to be out forever ago, except the staff who claimed it quit and no one’s done anything since. #ZoruaForMansionCourtyard #ItdFit

a) Legend hats are Event only and I’m not sure if they could be put in shops, considering how they’re set up in the Item Maker and how the Shop Maker works. Haven’t experimented with it though.
b) Heart Scales are fine how they are, being for Togetic. Their rarity and purpose balances out. I don’t know that adding in this would maintain the balance. It’d be a pretty useless shop if it was just Mystery Hats, anyway S: There’s barely any people who buy/sell them anymore. Not after RP died.

Agree with a new 30s, 40s, and 50s dungeon. Skylift 30s or SS if you’re Grass-type, SD lower 40s and WTD upper 50s, RS 50s, MJ to 100… It’s nice, but boring. Some more options to freshen up gameplay would be nice. Also a Skylift revamp would be cool. I loathe Skylift because of how repetitive it got. I just EXP All my Pokemon to 50 so I can completely pass it now. I shouldn’t hate a dungeon because I was forced to look at it so many times due to a lack of options and a lack of change.

Well, the shop wouldn’t just have hats. It would have other things that people want, like silks, and maybe access to a rare pokemon thing like dratini…

And that’s the reason why I hate Skylift. And I also think that’s one of the reasons newbies don’t stay for very long…

a) Silks are common enough and would be easier to obtain than plunking down, I donno, let’s say Heart Scales are 35k and it’ll be 5 per silk. 35,000*5=175k. So 175,000 for a silk. I could hire Flurry for less, and I consider Flurry expensive.
b) Dratini is already accessible and is reasonably rare, considering its high demand and canon implied rarity.

Newbies don’t stay because there’s a lack of guidance, imo. They get into town and it’s just… Now what? What else am I supposed to do? At least the old Eevee story said “Hey, go to Tiny Grotto!”. Now players have to get guidance from other people, assuming someone answers and it isn’t troll. I doubt Skylift being boring is why they don’t stay.

Well, I meant things like Skylift. It’s like the staff just barely tried to get a tutorial and stuff going for newbies and just gave up and focused on older players. And they say that favoritism isn’t a thing? Pffft. Lies.

I agree, because People like to troll people a lot, and getting help from another player, and if your a newbie your going to fall for the troll no matter what, so I think there should be a guide to tell u where u should train/go to etc. or maybe a story for newbies to go though or something on those lines, because people these days troll people a lot and u can’t trust people anymore.

Although this isn’t technically on-topic, I also recommend a way to turn off certain channels. For example–if you don’t want to see the troll-fest that global can be at times (trust me–most people don’t), they can just turn that channel off. I’ve seen another game (Pokemon Revolution Online) which uses this setup, and that game has an absolutely HUGE turnout. There are times where I’m stuck in a queue of over 300 people, just to get a place on the server. It’s THAT popular!

I wish PMU were that popular, but it will NEVER be unless something is done to curb all the trolling that goes on.

There, I’ve said my piece. Take it as you will…;)

I think that’ll require changing the source code, which can’t be done because ANDY VANISHED WITH IT.

I somewhat agree with this, because I see people talking about Goldfinger and Krissie/Dekej a lot, and I really don’t want to see it, even tho I’m protective over my friends, but I don’t see this happening because of a small game like this…but if the Trolling will stop then we would have more players, just saying. :( :sad:

@Suzzy that can be done by just making a forum guide and having it linked on the website itself… I’m sure there’s some guides around about getting started S: Tell staff to pick a guide and put it up?

I see your point on this, I don’t have a problem with this

And it’s not just me the trolls give a hard time. There are many others, most of whom are new (or relatively new) players. Trolling is a predatory behavior, plain and simple. The people who engage in trolling are nothing more than worthless parasites who are often insecure and have low self esteem (or just a plain old sadistic streak). Thus, they see fit to bring others down to their level by mercilessly needling people for losing in a dungeon (and inevitably voicing their frustrations), or for other presumed slights or mistakes.

A firmer stance is needed regarding the game’s policy toward trolling. I don’t care what you say or think, but that’s my opinion, and opinions are by nature neither right or wrong.

You can’t stop trolling. It’s not possible. It’s like trying to stop bullying, tbh. Only way to do it’s to ban EVERYONE from somewhere…

I said things like Skylift because staff just changed the music for it when they got complaints about it being boring, and when they got complaints about it being boring before, they made dungeons that didn’t even give close to the same EXP yield as a Skylift run from 11F to 36F. And yet when SF got complaints after Erl nerfed the item spawns, it only took a month or two for things to be fixed.

Gold stop derailing and hijacking the thread. That’s rude as heck lol either be on topic or stop
Also Krissie and Dekej are the same person. Krissie’s alts are Dekej, Torikoneko, Charnold, d u a n e, Satam, some others no longer used.

@Suzzy Update: NVM, at a glance I don’t see any recently updated “getting started” guides… Maybe an official one should be made?

Doesn’t really solve the dungeon issue… Players may be able to get started with or without the Guide, but those who do get sick of Skylift pretty fast, so I’ve learned. I wonder if a 30s dungeon could be put in West or South Exbel? Well, maybe not South, that’d imply another Water dungeon and we have SS already.

@Ikia I see… Yeah, I’m not opposed to a Skylift overhaul. Since it’s one of the more frequently used dungeons, I think it could use some changes one or twice a year to keep people into it. It hasn’t been changed outside of music and Pokemon spawn since it opened, though. No wonder we’re all sick of it.

I definitely agree with the Mt. Skylift being the only dungeon to train to 30-50. I’ve been going there since I was a level 22 Piplup and it gets boring each time I go but I don’t really get a choice because it’s the only place I can go to train such a level. (I am now currently level 44 and still going to Skylift). A nice change of pace would be a little nice, 'y know? ;o;

The legendary Pokemon I somewhat agree with. But only if the legendary wasn’t really powerful or… just huge sort of thing. (i’m bad at describing if you couldn’t tell already ;w; ). Example:
Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf in my opinion should obtainable legends for players.

But things such as Kyogre, Rayquaza, Giratina, things like that shouldn’t because it would make it far too awkward and just not right. (Again, I can’t really get my point across in a decent way ;-; ).

And I won’t bother putting any input on the silks because I haven’t had a chance to get one myself. Nor do I know anything about them. xD;

Anyway that’s my thoughts. Feel free to disagree. ;o;

I don’t like being in Drama or fights, Believe me I don’t, but some people are targeting my friends just because they have a “bad Personality” and yeah Deke has a bit of a anger problem, I have an anger problem too because of the disorders I have, and sometimes I can’t control my anger, so I think it’s bull to see this type of stuff, and I’m on nether side of this, I’m just stating how I feel about this, all I can say is just leave people alone and let them do what they want to do even if it makes them look stupid and look bad.

You can easily SD once you hit 40s, and then WTD once you’re 45.

You’re talking about the secondary legendaries, the less important ones, the trios. I gotcha. But Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf are only one of their kind. It’d be weird to have 2 Azelfs in town. It’s a contradiction to the Pokemon world itself. We don’t have to match completely, but that’s something that’d be really bothersome.

They boost certain stats for a type by 20 per. They’re found in Sealed Chambers in various dungeons, in a box in the chamber. You’ve a 1/4th chance of getting a Silk. Chambers are opened with Silver Keys, which are found in some end-game dungeons and bought for 10k per.

Their rarity and market value are fine. I guess a Heart Scale shop wouldn’t kill them, but they’d be a ton more easier to just buy from someone (80k-100k per? Maybe more depending on seller) or hunt on your own.

It’s not necessary to call eachother out for this. Goldfinger, you initially started this even though it was off-topic, so don’t do that again, because it’s not what this thread was originally meant for. As for the others, even though they started this, there is no need to respond to it and especially not by bashing them for it.

@About the Legends: I like when u can’t get legends at all because, it’s like showing off to other players for one,2nd some legends are OP as crap,3rd I agree that there is only one legend of it’s kind and it would be very weird if players have 2 of the same legends in the same place, 4th Staff can do whatever they want, they run the game.

Legends–

  1. Yeah I agree. I don’t like the idea of legends being released at all. I’m just Devil’s Advocating myself.
    2/3. What you said.
  2. That is a horrible policy to have, no offense. I agree that it’s fine that staff have Legends, as covered in my first post on this thread, but saying “they can do whatever” sounds like you’re willing to sideline corruption/power abuse. Might want to be careful on your words in the future.

So staff have the right to punish some players but not others for the same offense? They have the right to swear and then mute players for doing the same? …I don’t think so. Like Kanji said, be a biiit more careful in picking out your words.

…But for legendaries, how about ones that have been proven to not be the only ones? Like Shaymin, Manaphy, Celebi (?), Lugia… [sub]Lugia"d have to be a real pain to get/a huge grind like dratini but worse…[/sub]
