Addition of the 'Citadel' dungeons as permanent dungeons

The citadel dungeons of Halloween 2015, should be added as permanent dungeons into Pokemon Mystery Universe. This can be used to add a deeper story of the region it can be added to. Tuoko and I have balanced these dungeons so are they more fair.

Region: Winden
The reason it would benefit in being within Winden is because it can deepen the plot of The History of Winden, aside the fact that most would say it’d fit in Tanren, but considering that Tanren Mansion is already there, Winden would’ve been the next best location. This fits being in Winden due to the dungeon known as Crystal Castle, with the fact that Froslass (the boss of Crystal Castle) could’ve owned this Citadel before she had died, and that she could’ve created Crystal Castle in replacement of losing her home beforehand.

However, with the dungeon being placed in Winden, some changes would have to be made to compliment the region.

Main Types: Psychic, Ghost and Ice

Level Range: 50-60

For each dungeon, we decided on some Pokemon that could be recruitable in each section.

Citadel Main Halls: Gastly, Snorunt, Espurr, Solosis

Citadel Cellar: Yamask, Stunky, Spinarak

Citadel Attic: Vullaby, Zubat

Citadel Gardens: Phantump, Pumpkaboo, Skorupi, Carnivine

Despite not being able to attend this event myself, I believe that these recruits would be enough to make the dungeon want to be visited to, as well as deepen the plot throughout the Story of Winden.

The amount of floors that could be in each section;
Main Halls; 45
Cellar: 25
Attic: 15
Gardens: 35

Bosses:
There would be a boss in every dungeon except Attic.

Main Halls:
Miniboss(Floor 24): Froslass (The one from Crystal Castle) Level 50; Destiny Bond, Draining Kiss, Spite and Blizzard
Boss: Bisharp (This could go along the same fate as Mamoswine, that it had passed on) Level 65; Swords Dance, X-Scissor, Night Slash and Spite

Bisharp resembles a knight.

Cellar: Cofagrigus (Lives down here, since it is a coffin) Level 55; Destiny Bond, Mean Look, Will-O-Wisp and Dark Pulse

Gardens: Trevenant and Gourgeist (Jack-o-lanterns are associated with halloween, and Gourgeist is a ghost type, Trev is a dead tree, resembles a poorly cared garden) Both level 55
Trevenant: Ingrain, Wood Hammer, Shadow Claw, Forest’s Curse
Gourgeist: Trick-o-treat, Synthesis, Flamethrower and Giga Drain

Requirements to gain access to these dungeons would to have beaten Crystal Ruins, and that it can only be accessed during Dusk and Night

As it expands the story of Winden further, it can also create access to further plot developments for Winden.

It sounds like a really nice idea. Why have all that effort go to waste for one even. I think it would be really cool to add this, just might need to think of a spot to put it, since Winden is a little on the small side. Plus I think Winden needs more love. I believe it has the fewest dungeons of all the regions, despite being the second made. Plus it would bring back a use for CC and CR. Almost no one runs those dungeons other than an old way to get ice beam and Helix or Dome fossil (I forget which).

this sounds like an awesome idea :D :D

I’d be fine with this. No Honege, though? (It does have enough stuff in it to be fair.)
If you want to balance the amount of stuff in it even more, or make it spookier, have the dungeon only open at night or something similar. For story reasons, of course. ;) Just to make it more intriguing.

Honedge was released in Deserted Tomb.

Pfft, shows how active I am at times. In my defense, it’s not like this info is easily available. Thanks for the correction either way.

I like this idea! How about having lower level range? Since Winden is supposedly the second region you reach upon exploring PMU, and since we lack alternatives for 30s and 50s. Considering the tie with Crystal Castle, which should be for 40s or 50s, and considering that a ghost themed dungeon would certainly not compete well as a grinding spot for 30s, choosing a level range of 50s should work! In addition, the alternate ghost dungeon, Tanren Mansion and its pathways, is perhaps beaten in the 60s or 70s, meaning the two would not collide level-wise.

Changed.

Time changed.

Thank you for the improvements!

I agreed that Citadel was one of my favourite events, and seeing it released permanently would be great! But imo, having a dungeon mainly for recruits isn’t the best idea, as less people will visit it. Perhaps this could be a training spot as well, from 60-70 instead? There aren’t many locations for someone to solo those levels from what I gather, and I think allowing for, say, the Garden or Main Halls to be a good training spot (higher spawn rate, not a ton of obnoxious traps) would make it all the more worthwhile.

Hello! We have aswell considered releasing Citadel dungeons as permanent content. We’re still discussing were to release it and what changes to make. However I’m loving your ideas, and I’m pretty sure these would help deciding a fIr way to release them, so keep your ideas coming!
