My Idea: Sky High Mountain Range

So i had an Idea for a dungeon. It might sound stupid, but it be quite the renovation in a dungeon style.

So with this, my idea is of a Dungeon called Sky High Mountain Range. Well, the top part is named that. The Bottom area i have no idea.

For this “Dungeon”, there are no walls. The “Walls” are air. Clouds bellow you. While it seems hard, i think it"s possible. For the dungeon, most of the Pokemon would be around the Flying Type. And what type can walk on Air? Flying Type Pokemon can. Sure enough, there are other types. Mostly below the part where you are up in the sky, there would be more pokemon of other types, such as Rock, Steel, Fighting, Normal if you wan, and maybe Ground, and as you keep going up, Flying and Ice become a little more common.

The weather would either be Cloudy or Fog, with rare occasions of Clear.

For Music, either Seekra Range (I still hope they add it), Revelation Mountain or Route 10 From Black and White for the lower part, and Sheer Mountain Range or Revelation Mountain -Revisit- for the upper part.

For the location of it, it should be in between Exbel and Winden.

It would probably be a level 70+ Dungeon. Though the first half can be identified as 50-60.

There is no specific puzzle, but as you know, there is a specific Rule. The Flying Types have free movement. The Purpose of the dungeon would get Vullaby, Train Electric Types, since we need places for them, and defeat Tornadus. There is the Purpose of getting Patrat and Lillipup on the lower half.

Oh, yeah, BTW, Tornadus is the boss. Possibly causing Ruckus over there.

For items, on the lower half Food would be very common, and Patrat Eggs and Lillipup Eggs somewhat uncommon along with other eggs like Geodude, Bidoof, Zigzagoon, Sandshrew, Phanpy, Aron, Nosepass. There would be also a lot of orbs and money would not be rare. Gravelrocks would be common. No overly rare treasure.

Up from the Second Half, Eggs change into Flying Types, like Drifloon, Vullaby (New), Tailow, Starly, Wingull, Murkrow, Togepi. There is also Seedot Eggs, being very common. Food becomes less common, but thanks to the middle point having a Kangaskhan Rock, no problem that can kill you. Money is less common, and gravelrocks as well. Some rare items come rare, but not as much as below, and Berries are very common here.

The First half has 50 Floors, the second has 35.

As for the Design of the First Half, it"s like a Plain Mountain Design. The Second Half Design has no walls.

For Pokemon:

If you feel that any is unfair, please point out, and i will take them out.

It"s just an idea, but i do accept suggestions from others.

For how it would look, i have a picture here, since i tried in my house:

Very well done!

Noice! But…that’s been done before. It’s called SMB3’s world 5…Just kidding!

Anyway, how would you deal with non-flying/non-levitating Pokemon? Would they be able to walk off the sides of the paths/rooms and fall to their doom/the previous floor? Or, would the sides be “blocked” by invisible barriers?

Simple— There are Air Tiles specific for Flying/Ghost/Levitate pokemon. Use those as walls. For normal Pokemon, as i said, as you progress, the non Flying and Levitate Pokemon with exception of Ice (Which becomes a bit common as you are up high) will be less common. Like, the foot of the mountain, where there is walls and none of this problem, they are very common. Later, they become less common as mostly only the strongest stay, like Shelgon, Hariyama, Golem, Medicham, Lucario, and so the list might go on.

such a great idea gelius the dungeon looks so awesome ^^

Thank you. This is the concept to be the first Wall-Less Dungeon in the game. Sure, it looks kinda plain, but if you look at it, you can have Flying Pokemon Attack you from any angle, which makes the first challenging Flying Type Dungeon. Let’s not forget that the walls, in a way to say as blocks that can’t be passed without a certain metheod are the sky bellow you. It’s gonna be that up high. And plus the plan for Vullaby.

It’s interesting, I like it.

Sounds like a good challenge! :)
